New color picker that let you choose a color from a "Web-safe" 216 colors palette that is used by the major browsers. You can also pick up a color from a picture in the clipboard. Note: To get the correct color values using the color picker you'll need to set the monitor to display 256 or millions colors, using thousands of colors does not give the exact color value.
If you find the preset colors in the Text color menu dull: it is now possible to change the colors in the Color menu. Press the Option key when selecting a color name in the menu to define a new color value. It is not possible to change the name or the color displayed in the menu though.
Support added for the Internet Explorer's scrolling text Marquee tag in HTML Assistant's Text Format topic.
PageSpinner should now support editing of text objects in Frontier. When you save changes in PageSpinner, the text in Frontier is updated and the Frontier database is saved. Press the Option key when selecting UserLand Frontier in the Web Tools menu to find out more about this. Thanks to Tim Paustian for help with implementing Frontier support.
Added an example on how to create clickable client-side image maps in the "Examples : Miscellaneous Examples" folder.
Added GraphicConverter to the Web Tools Menu. GraphicConverter can, among other things, be useful when creating client-side image maps in PageSpinner. Press the Option key when selecting GraphicConverter in the Web Tools menu to find out more about this.
Added the table cell height attribute in the Table menu.
Added the NOSCRIPT tag in the Java/JavaScript menu. Text within this tag will only be displayed in browsers that doesn't support JavaScript.
New "Spun with PageSpinner" button added in the Documentation folder, thanks to Jacob Abrams.
The implementation of JScript in Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows is not fully compatible with Netscape's implementation of JavaScript. The JavaScript examples "Random Link Example" and "Todays Link Example" gives an error message when viewed in Explorer, so a dynamic JavaScript has been added in the "Random Link Example" that works around this problem.

Fixed a bug with an control character appended at the end of the link text when inserting a link from a Bookmark file.
Fixed a bug that inserted additional characters when saving with MS-DOS linefeeds and the "Don't autosave file before preview" box was checked in General Preferences. It is recommended to have this box checked when saving with MS-DOS linefeeds, since each preview will be significantly faster.
Removed the Short Quotation tag and some HTML 3.0 attributes in the Assistant that are not included in HTML 3.2.

The new Notebook window allows display and editing of up to 100 pages, use it to store and edit frequently used HTML text and tags. All text editing options work in the Notebook pages, including the possibility to drag and drop between the Notebook and your HTML pages. The Notebook pages can also be renamed. Click the page icon in the bottom of the Notebook window or press the option key when selecting a page in the Notebooks pop up menu to rename a page.
You can now define you own user defined tags. Read more about this in the documentation.
A Floating Menu palette has been added which gives quick access to almost all commands available in PageSpinner. It is also possible to add user defined keyboard shortcuts for all items available in the palette, press the control key when clicking on an item to view or edit the keyboard shortcut.
Improved windows management: HTML documents window are not staggered horizontally any more when new windows are opened. Windows with small icons in the toolbar are not as wide as windows with large icons. Use the Preferences : General to select the size of the icons. And finally, the HTML Assistant, Notebook and other windows will now remember their last position on your screen. (The Floating Menu palette needs to be visible when you quit PageSpinner if you want it to remember the position).
Enhanced Help menu that contains some helpful items. Of special interest may be the More examples item that allows you to browse the HTML files examples included in the PageSpinner Examples folder. Some additional HTML files with examples on how to use auto-loading pages, different fonts and MIDI music files on your page has also been added in the Examples folder. The MIDI music clip is included with kind permission from MPC.
Support added for saving files to a FTP server using a scriptable file transfer program. A compiled AppleScript are included that tells the application Fetch to upload the current file.
- Use the menu command File : Preferences : FTP Server to specify the URL and password for your Web directory.
- Select File : Save to FTP Server… to save the current file on the ftp server. If you need to change the directory on the server before saving a file, press the Option key when selecting Save to FTP Server… to edit the preferences.

WorldScript II-compliant. WorldScript input should work if the file is saved as Mac Text. Use the Default Filing options to set the file format. Bidirectional scripts, like Arabic are not supported. Please note that WorldScript input has not been tested very much.

It is now possible to preview changes in a file without saving it to disk. Set this option in the General Preferences dialog.
PageSpinner now handles Paragraph containers <P>...</P> in the Convert Text to HTML dialog and when selecting text and inserting the paragraph tag via the Paragraph button or the Paragraph menu item. Keyboard shortcut is Command+Shift+Return.
Support added for the Layout tags introduced in Navigator 3.0: Multicolumn text and the Spacer tag are available in the Tags menu. The HTML Examples window has been updated with examples for these tags.
